Kids love to eat what they grow in the garden…..now let’s get them into the kitchen!
Our Cool Chefs program equips students in grades 3 through 6 with the skills they need to prepare healthy meals and snacks. Working alongside their peers in this 5-week after-school program, students of all skill and ability levels will creatively engage in making nutritious and delicious recipes. Our newly redesigned Cool Chefs lessons will also center on reducing food waste while incorporating more plant-based and planet-friendly practices.
Grades 3/4, In the Kitchen – March 20 (5 weeks)
Students will experiment with an array of recipes focusing on healthy breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, and dessert options with ingredients sourced directly from local gardens when possible. This mentorship model will focus on building students’ culinary confidence and provide dynamic learning opportunities.
